What To Expect On Sunday
  • Morning Services

Currently Riverside has 3 Sunday morning services for you to choose from– one at 9 AM, one at 10:30 AM  & one at 12 Noon.  In the last several years we have experienced some pretty phenomenal growth and we won’t all fit in here at the same time anymore.  The plan is to build a larger building on this property in the future but for now we’ll just keep adding services as we grow.

  • Music

Singing gives us the opportunity to express our love and gratitude to God.  In fact, the Bible teaches us that God's spirit actually lives in our praises to Him.  Worship is our personal gift to God, and we invite you to participate at whatever level you are most comfortable with.  As you look around you may see worshippers lifting their hands to heaven, and some who do not.  You may see some singing loudly, some singing quietly & some who don’t sing at all.  It  is  our  prayer  that  all  will feel accepted and at home here, no matter how each chooses to worship their creator.  We invite you to sing along or simply listen to the uplifting lyrics.

    • Lord's Supper

The Lord's Supper, also called communion, is a time when Christians reflect on the commitment to be living memorials of Jesus' life, death and resurrection.  The cracker we eat represents Jesus' physical body.  It reminds us of the things He did while walking this earth as a human being and renews our commitment to the Church, which is His body here on earth.  The grape juice represents Jesus' blood.  It reminds us of the death He endured for us on the cross and reflects our acceptance of His Lordship over our lives.  This is a very solemn and personal time where we "commune" with God and remember Jesus' sacrifice.  It is also a joyous time of togetherness as we "commune" with one another as His body. Participating in the Lord's Supper is a personal statement of faith in Jesus and His power to forgive our sins so whether you (or your children) choose to join us in this time of communion is your call– not ours.  As is the case with our singing, you will notice different people observing this time in different ways.  It is our prayer that all will feel accepted and at home here, no matter how they choose to celebrate this memorial time.

  • Lesson

This half hour lesson is designed to encourage and build you up with practical messages from the Bible.  Topics are selected which use God's principles to give you the knowledge and courage to make positive choices in your life.  We invite you to use the Lesson Outline  provided to follow along with Ed as he shares the message God has put on his heart.

  • Bible Translations

You may notice an abbreviation in small letters following quotations from the Bible during the lesson. These are abbreviations for different  translations  of  the  Bible. Ed will often use the version of the Bible that best illustrates a point he is making during the lesson. Some of the versions we use are: The New Century Version (NCV); New Living Translation (NLT); New International Version (NIV);  The Message (MES); The Living Bible (TLB); Phillips Translation (PH).
